Swimming Pool
During the summer months visit every Wednesday to check / clean pool with the robot and do a backwash and rinse (2 mins back wash, 30secs rinse and then fill a 5kg chlorine tub with the special earth and put it in the skimmer).
A pH test should be done weekly during the summer rental season.
The robot is electronic and not connected to the pool filtration system. The robot sits on a special trolly which should be used to move the robot to and from the pool. Connect the robot to the control module, plug the robot into the long orange extension lead and using the handle drop the robot into the pool. Press the large ON button and the robot will do a full cycle lasting 2.5 hours. When the robot has finished its cycle it should rise to the surface. The robot should be removed from the pool using the handle only. If the robot is at the bottom. The blue lead can be used to bring the robot to the surface BUT SHOULD ONLY BE REMOVED USING THE HANDLE. Both filters should be washed through when full. We request care is taken when using the robot.
The robot is not designed to remain in the pool and should be returned to the locked pool house using the trolly when not in use. The robot should not be left unsupervised when in operation while guests are present.
When the pool is winterized the robot should be brought into the house (utility room) and not stored in the pool house.
The filtration system operates overnight for approximately 12 hours on an automatic timer. This may need to be extended during particularly hot periods (>30c).
The heating system operates when the filtration pump is running. The heating pump is set to 28c and can be turned on and off using the S1 button on the units digital display.
The swimming pool cover is operated electrically and the key is kept locked inside the pool house. THE COVER IS NOT FOR USE BY THE GUESTS.
The pool has lights but these are not used by guests.
At the end of the summer session the filtration system gets winterized and the pool is then put back into operation in the spring. This tasks are undertaken by Piscines Magiline - Yannick Chausseau et Fils 05 49 94 21 82. Note: they deal with the basics but are unable to tackle anything related to the pool cover and skimmers.
For more complex problems we use Paysage Piscines / D Berjamin 02 41 50 32 06. Note that this company is in Saumur and actually installed this pool and its filtration/heating system.
Please also note the water level of the pool. In general, it should be about an inch below the supporting bracket at the deep-end. Potential leaks need to be identified early.
