Fireplaces: Although they look a treat our fireplaces are not in service outside of core winter months. Given the heat of spring/summer you probably wouldn’t consider it. Please don’t be tempted however as you run the risk of a chimney fire endangering your family. Should a used fireplace be discovered an inspection will be required at the expense of the guest.

Furniture: Families all have different requirements but we ask you not to move furniture / mattresses from where they’re sat. Not only can this sustain damage but it adds considerable time to our changeover operation if our house managers have to move tables, chairs and mattresses back to their intended spot.

TV and Music: We want you to feel at home at La Batonniere but we would be grateful if you leave the TV, Soundbar and HiFi where they are. It is important that the Audio / Visual equipment is functioning properly for our future guests.

We have provided a Bluetooth speaker that you are welcome to use wherever you wish, be it pool side or on the terrace.

Swimming pool: Dogs are not allowed in the pool on the grounds that claws can rip the liner and fur clogs up the filtration system. This can cause expensive damage and significantly disrupt the holiday experience of future guests.

Electrical Panel: We ask guests not to interfere with the electrical panel. There are several throughout the house, most not accessible to guests. Should there be an electrical issue or lack of hot water, please call Lee and Jane to resolve the problem.

External fire: The building and ignition of an external fire in the grounds of La Batonnaire is forbidden owing to the risk of a wild fire spreading.

BBQ: We request that the BBQ is cleaned out and all used coals and ash be removed so that the BBQ is ready to be enjoyed by the next guest.

Departure: Out of respect for the next group of visitors, we ask that you leave the house in an acceptable condition, including cleaning the kitchen, putting away the cutlery and removing your rubbish. Should extra cleaning staff be required during a changeover we will levee a charge on the guest concerned.
