How to find La Batonnière

Google Maps and most GPS navigation systems will take you directly to the property. The address is “Lieu-dit-la-Batonnière”, the city is Vouhé and the postcode is 79310. Although there are many possible routes, if you are travelling without a GPS, we find the below to be the most straightforward.

If you are coming from Calais, you will likely arrive via Parthenay. After passing Parthenay, you will be on the D743. After approximately 10 km, you will see a sign marking the turnoff to the village of Soutiers. Take this left turn. Drive through Soutiers and remain on the same road for approximately 2 km and you will find La Batonnière on your left. You will first see a green gate with a sign saying “La Batonnière”. The driveway to the property is 100 metres past the gate and it is also signposted. If you arrive at the village of Vouhé, you have gone too far.

If you are coming from Paris, you will likely arrive via Poitiers. Most navigation systems will direct you to turn onto the N149 before Poitiers; due to traffic on the N149, we prefer to stay on the A10 past Poitiers. When you reach the exit toward Nantes onto the A83, exit the A10. Drive on the A83 until the #10 exit toward Angers and Saumur. This exit will take you onto the D743. Continue for about 20 km until you see a sign marking the turnoff to the village of Soutiers. Take this right turn. Drive through Soutiers and remain on the same road for approximately 2 km and you will find La Batonnière on your left. You will first see a green gate with a sign saying “La Batonnière”. The driveway to the property is 100 metres past the gate and it is also signposted. If you arrive at the village of Vouhé, you have gone too far.
