Security Cameras – Location & Purpose

For safety, security, and property protection, La Batonniere is equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are located in the following positions:
- Covering the front kitchen door
- Covering the rear kitchen door

- Overlooking the front courtyard
- Overlooking the parking area in front of the garage - Overlooking the rear terrace
- Covering the BBQ house

These devices record video and may capture audio of outdoor areas only. They do not record inside the property or in any area where guests have a reasonable expectation of privacy (e.g., bedrooms, bathrooms, enclosed hot tubs).

Use of Footage

Recorded footage may be reviewed by the host if:
- We receive an alert or notification from the system indicating unusual activity
- We observe activity that may pose a safety risk or breach the house rules (examples: exceeding guest limit, bringing pets without prior approval, driving vehicles onto lawns, unauthorized events)

Footage may be used to:
- Confirm compliance with house rules
- Document and substantiate any damage or extra cleaning fees - Support claims made through VRBO’s Resolution Center

Data Handling

Footage is stored securely, access is limited to the host or authorized property manager, and it is deleted when no longer required for security or enforcement purposes.

By booking La Batonnière, you acknowledge the presence of exterior security cameras as described above and consent to their use for security and house-rule enforcement in accordance with VRBO policy.

Des caméras extérieures sont installées pour la sécurité et la protection des lieux.
Elles couvrent : la porte de cuisine avant, la porte de cuisine arrière, la cour avant, le parking devant le garage, la terrasse arrière et la maison du barbecue.
Les caméras enregistrent uniquement les zones extérieures et ne filment pas à l’intérieur ou dans les espaces où l’on peut raisonnablement attendre de la vie privée.
Les enregistrements peuvent être utilisés pour vérifier le respect des règles de la maison, documenter tout dommage ou frais supplémentaires, et appuyer toute réclamation via la plateforme VRBO.
Les enregistrements sont conservés de manière sécurisée, l’accès est limité, et ils sont supprimés lorsqu’ils ne sont plus nécessaires.
