Check in/out and preparing for the arrival of guests.

Linens

Linens are kept in the large dresser on the upstairs hallway. The three upper cupboards are unlocked and the lower cupboards are locked.   They should be left that way during the guests’ stay and all of the keys should remain locked in the key box.   We have placed all of the extra linens in the bottom cupboards (middle and right hand) for you to access them at changeover.  The bottom left hand cupboard is kept for our personal lines. There are some extras still in the packaging, but unless there are damages, you probably won’t need them.

Please use white sheets for all of the beds.

The towels can be left in the cupboard, except for the floor mats which should be placed in the bathrooms, three bath towels in the family bathroom (one under each sink and one hanging on the towel rail), and one hand towel per bathroom.

Bathrooms

The tiles in the family bathroom are cement and therefore no acidic cleaning solution should be used.

Please monitor any breaks or cracking in grouting etc. Early intervention will prevent leaks.

Preparation for Guests

The grass should be cut and the swimming pool cleaned prior to each group of guests arriving.  The latter could be done during the week if the guests don’t object.

There is a box in the attic that holds supplies for the rental season (toiletries, hand soap, cotton pads, toilet paper, Kleenex, sponges, dishwasher pods).  The dog bed, dog bowls and baby’s cot are also in the attic to be brought down by house managers as needed.

Please double-check that the attic, cellar, pool room, garage, barn and bottom linen cupboards are locked and that keys are put in the key box, also locked.

Please prepare a small welcome pack which includes a bottle of red wine, fresh baguette, a small pack of Echire butter, some filter coffee and a few tea bags.  We have supplies for many of these in the attic.
